Scrapbook plus suppressed definitively at the last update to firefox 29 and losing several srored Go without asking to accept this destructuve update  !! !! Incredible and unacceptable this method  !! very difficult to come back to early old version of firefox with again Scrapbook, searching all a night over the web, where old versions and Srapbook Plus are nearly suppressed and trying different possibilities  ! Scvrapbook Plus 2 is not working with no possibility to recover my several stored Go.

I shall never more update firefox !!! It is not a question, it is a fact !!!

A great many users have had problems with the new Firefox. A number of them have been asking how to get;

  • Prior versions of FF.

  • Not update Firefox

Press the <Alt Key> to bring up the tool bar. Then Tools > Options > Advanced > Update.

For security you ask to use the last version, and I cannot use the last, because it suppress Scrapbook Plus, so that you does not answer, how to have an securized update of an old version !!!

I have spend all a night to find and trying old versions of both firefox and of hiden Scrapbook versions working together to recover several stored Go !!

Please change your automatic update so that before updating each one knows what addons will be supressed in order to be free to refuse or not, before any updating  !!!

Otherwise many like me will never update, because updates give too much unexpected troubles and lost time to solve  !!!

Or they will change of browser , if they like firefox less than me.

Please note my fundamental remark to improve.

Hi

Scrapbook Plus 2 is an alpha and therefore isn't expected to be working solidly. The author of the extension stated that if users are using Fx18 and above, to use the development channel version located at the bottom

Have you tried that? 

  Please change your automatic update so that before updating each one knows what addons will be supressed in order to be free to refuse or not, before any updating  !!!

You can disable updates by going to Firefox button/Hamburger button (three lines) > Options > Advanced > Update > Never Check for Updates
The above method works but when you would go to Help > About Firefox, it would update regardless of that setting.

You can set these prefs in about:config to disable automatic updating:
app.update.auto - false
app.update.enabled - false
app.update.silent - false
