just installed thunderbird on my new windows11 laptop and tried to add my comcast email account. i entered the email address and password and it sent me to a comcast web page to validate my email on imap.comcast.com. i am not on my home network so they sent a code to my phone which i entered successfully. it then asked for the address on my (comcast) account. i entered it and it told me it didn't recognize the address. I called comcast and finally got a human to talk with. we verified that my comcast account was set to allow third party access to my email. that's all the help she could give. i've run thunderbird on my windows 10 desktop with my comcast email for years with no problem. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Using firefox 148, when I select the "CIRA Canadian shield" DNS over HTTPS option it does not work. If I select the other 2 options Cloudflare or NextDNS those options work.

What is the problem with DOH for CIRA option ?

I would like to make a new account with an email account I control. Currently, the secondary email address can receive 2FA codes and such, but is there some way to transfer all of the history I have with the account to a new one? I cannot make the secondary email address the new one because my university email is now unable to receive emails such as 2FA codes.

The Firefox advertising page

I clicked on the Wellnee link and their site is rigged to extort money! I chose the product (advertised as a discount), entered my bank details then instead of buying the product, I'm sent to a page where aside from just leaving the page, I find that i have to order 3 more of the same product, if I want to get the discount, so I exited the page, only to find that not only had I been charged for the original (without the discount!) but an additional charge had been taken!!!

Then I get a text message saying they couldn't connect to my email, so everything is done through texts (they had my email). When I went to their site they use a fake US phone number; there's no email, only a form (does it work?)

I have 18 shortcuts that I have added to the Firefox desktop, but every time I open a new link, a shortcut is added to the desktop. How do I keep these unwanted shortcuts from being added to my Firefox desktop?

I have left Shortcuts toggled on, since I want to see the 18 shortcuts that I have manually pinned. Fine so far.

I have unchecked Sponsored Shortcuts, but I still am seeing sponsored shortcuts. What am I doing wrong?

Firefox Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Issue

• Problem: PiP window loses "Always on Top" focus or vanishes when switching workspaces/tasks.
• Config Changes: Set 'focusmanager.testmode' to true and 'media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.video-flips-visibility-on-focus-change' to false.
• Window Settings: Focus set to "Click" via GNOME Tweaks/Settings.
• Environment Test: Tested launching via 'MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0' to bypass Wayland focus logic.

Software & Tools

• Tweaks: Installed for font hinting (Slight) and window behavior management.

After the last update, I lost the toolbar bookmarks and passwords. After some time I was able to figure out how to sync them from my mobile. When I closed FF on my desktop, I lost the sync. Now I get an error when I try to sync. Your last update (using flawed AI, I presume) sucks and has rendered the browser I have used for years. I used your "help" page to recover once, but as soon as I closed the browser, it reverted to no bookmarks, no passwords. I don't want to use MS browsers because FF has served very well for years. Sorry but WTF are you thinking?

In the last few weeks, i cannot read my iCloud emails. It says things like"message cannot be downloaded now" or "cannot move to trash now", so the only way I can consistently read my emails, is to switch to my Google browser, which has absolutely no problem with the iCloud emails Why would this be happening?

When using vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting enabled, sidebar scrolls up with each expansion, so that when hovering over a certain tab of collapsed sidebar, another open tab is under the mouse pointer when expanded. For additional details please refer to the attached video.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting 2. Open a lot of tabs 3. Hover over a certain tab

Observed result: The sidebar expands with mouse over another tab and the list of tabs scrolled up.

Expected result: The sidebar expands and mouse pointer is hovering over the same tab after expansion from collapsed state.

I am having issues where pages I open will show it continuously opening (Page load status on tab keeps bouncing even when page is loaded) some page I need to try a couple times to load content. This seems to have started when I upgraded my Mac to OS 2.6. Currently I do not have any extensions or themes to troubleshoot. I did try in troubleshooting mode and everything worked fine, but all the documentation points to themes. I have tried clearing cache, quitting, restarting my computer it always comes back. Is there anything I can do to stop this otherwise all my work on Firefox will have to be moved elsewhere. Below the guess about my OS it says my OS is 10.15 which is incorrect it is Tahoe 26.3. I am not sure why this would come up as a 2019 OS.

I've followed all recommendations to fix that, but nothing works. Should I remove the browser, boot up, and download it again? Remove all my personal settings, etc? Also, I download my emails, I erase the unwanted emails, and suddenly, many copies of my previously erased emails show up after I get a new email. This happens with Gmail and Yahoo Mail. Please help me, this is driving me crazy and taking up my time. Gratefully, have a swell day! Isis

While testing the new profiles option with Firefox after loading containers while having Surf-shark VPN on my computer stop accessing websites. The conflict was resolved by reloading surf shark and then while attempting to remove new profiles not being used I deleted the original homepage/profile. Over 10yrs of bookmarks, passwords, and numerous pieces of data have been lost. I need that original Firefox homepage user account for my computer restored.

I use a Lenovo desktop computer that I have used along with the Firefox browser for about 3 years and never had any problems until now. For the past two days it takes up to a couple of minutes to for the Firefox browser to open a page. While the page is loading, I get at the bottom right corner of the screen "performing a TLS handshake." I vaguely understand this terminology but am not an expert on the subject. This "handshake" repeatedly occurs with all sites that I open daily with the Firefox browser. The pages usually open within a couple of seconds. Now it takes minutes and sometimes doesn't open at all. I have difficulty opening even the Firefox home page and when it finally opens, it is incomplete? Do you have any suggestions that might help me?

I must add that the internet connection from my provider, Eastlink, located in Nova Scotia, Canada, is by Ookla tests very slow, ranging from 40 to 55bps instead of the regular150bps or higher. I don't know if the problem is with my desktop or with the provider and the provider has not responded to my telephone request with any information that explain where is the source of the slow internet speed problem.

Sometimes, I cannot click on an option on a form (on my up-to-date Firefox, on Windows 11 - help, please! Its usually only when the options are shown as little buttons or squares to tick off. Its not my mouse because it works for the usual mouse works.

I can't enter the tick/click necessary on this form to say "Email me when someone answers this thread" Cheers, Carol

Due to an internet outage, I got forcibly signed out of my Firefox account. I signed back in, but all my login info and passwords are just gone. I still have my browser history, and I'm even still logged in to some of my accounts, so I know some of my cookies and cache are intact.
