Thunderbird is losing emails, when I transfer them to a folder from the Inbox. Where did they go?
Thunderbird just started losing emails, when I transfer them from the Inbox to a folder. They just never appear in the folder, and they disappear from the Inbox. This has happened more than once and on different folders. Where have they gone? Is there a way to recover them?
If I can't get this fixed quickly, I will definitely abandon Thunderbird and go back to Chrome or Outlook.

Hi joel10000, Thank you for using Thunderbird. I hope there are no funky error messages. If there are I am happy to investigate as well.
I am not sure about the set up but you can check the account settings under Synchronize & Storage in the advanced settings and make sure all of the folders are listed under the account as synced.
I hope this helps.
How do you transfer messages from Inbox to another folder?
What account type - POP or IMAP?
Nothing works. I have tried several different ways. The mail just disappears from the inbox and goes nowhere. I have searched through all of my other folders, and it's not there in any of them. Charter is IMAP now.
Also Thunderbird has stopped allowing me to create new folders. So today I went back to using Outlook 2007, and I am having problems with it too, so it must be my provider, Charter. I called them and they are having email problems. Hopefully when they get their problems fixed everything will go back to normal.
