After account disconnect message and signing in lost all passwords
I had a Firefox account disconnected message when I clicked on the three bars in the upper right corner. Once I resigned in I lost all my passwords. I have copied my profile from another machine that still has the disconnect message, but I have not reconnected since it has all the passwords. I have also uninstalled Firefox and re-installed and copied the profile again. I still have no passwords. I cannot re-connect the other system if I cannot get the profile back. What am I missing?

It sounds like Firefox may have created or switched to a different profile when you signed back in. Your saved passwords are stored locally in your Firefox profile, not directly in your Firefox account.
On the computer that still has the passwords, open `about:profiles` in Firefox and check which profile is currently in use. Make a backup of that entire profile folder before changing anything.
Also, check whether the profile contains both `logins.json` and `key4.db`. Firefox needs both files to access saved passwords.
Did you copy the entire profile folder from the other computer, or just some of its files?
