web site logging me out if I change to a different tab

If I change to a different tab (from Xfinity) and go back I am getting logged out and have to re log back in, even if I check the box "Remember Me" This does not happen with Edge, and seemed to happen from the latest update from Firefox on Oct 20th, 2026. Is this going to be the new normal

Hello ted.hunt,

Switching tabs shouldn't normally log you out. Since Xfinity works fine in Edge, try these steps:

1. Open Xfinity in Firefox, click the shield icon beside the address bar, and temporarily turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for that site. Reload and sign in again. 2. If that doesn't help, try Firefox Troubleshoot Mode to check whether an extension is causing the issue. 3. Under Settings > Privacy & Security, check that Firefox isn't set to clear cookies and site data automatically.

Does it still log you out when you switch tabs after trying these steps?
