pdf files open in Adobe rather than firefox

I have Firefox selected in settings to be used to open pdf files, however they still open in Adobe

Hi,

  1. Do you refer to the downloaded PDF files?
  2. If so, do the files open only in Acrobat, or in both Firefox and Acrobat?

I am clicking on the Open option for the pdf in the email attachment and the document downloads and opens in Adobe

Try to turn off "Always open PDFs downloaded from the web" in Adobe.

I wasn't aware of that setting, but I found it and turned off "Always open PDF's saved from the web ... pdf attachments still open in Adobe
