On my Framework 13, Thunderbird has stopped. Message reads Oups! We're sorry, it looks like thunderbird crashed. Please contact the developer if you want to report the issue. At 85, I'm anything but a nerd. Could someone please help me in simple, everyday terms? I have a lot of incoming and outgoing emails, and am completely stuck. Thank you.

vesigond, no crash IDs ?

Thank you Matt and Wayne. My difficulty is not knowing how to properly use the operating system, for instance how to "post some crash ids. Finally, I installed Evolution and uninstalled Thunderbird.

I am having this problem too. Fedora 40, has been working fine ... until latest update.

I looked at the instructions for sending a "crash id": they don't work.

There is no directory ~/.thunderbird/ that I can find.

The closest I found is ~/.var/app/net.thunderbird.Thunderbird/ ... but that directory has nothing in it with a name even close to "Crash Reports"

A few days later, a new Thunderbird update from Fedora ... and the problem is gone.

The new working version shows up as 140.3.

Thanks for the updates.
