I have already unchecked both "show an alert" and "show a tray icon" under Options... General... When new messages arrive... settings and still the notifications in the bottom right hand corner of Windows 10 won't stop.

How do I stop Thunderbird from pushing this type of notification at me? And is it possible to disable this type of notification on an account-by-account basis?

thanks

You can't. You'd need to fix the underlying problem. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/cannot-receive-messages
