I use Firefox. I saw Recipe Search by myway and clicked on "free download". The "free download" did not ask for a password. It was not what I was looking for. Now I have Google bar in middle of my screen with all these icons related to recipe, weather, facebook link, etc. I went to History and clicked back to previous session to remove it. This did not work. I clicked "download" icon in upper right and it indicated no downloads. I checked "Finder" and cannot find it there. There is no icon for it on my desktop either. I've been looking for something to click and drag to trash...nothing yet. Please advise on how I get Recipe Search by myway removed!

Chosen solution

I found it on https://www.techsupportall.com/how-to-remove-search-myway-com-homepage-removal-help/ Go to Step 3.2 and Open Firefox - go to Tools menu - click Add-ons - click Extensions on left side of pane (puzzle piece icon). On right side of pane you'll get all the installed add-ons listed. Remove the ones you don't want by delete or drag to trash or click remove tab or uncheck. Then reset Mozilla Firefox as directed in Step 3.3 .

If it's an extension, it can be removed from the Add-ons Manager.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

If it's a plugin, you must remove the program from the computers Programs Folder.
