migrate netscape emails to thunderbird
I am looking for the easiest (not necessarily the fastest) way to export 8,000 old emails from Netscape Mail 7.2 to Thunderbird.
I want to export this mail from Netscape on an old PC to a new PC. The new PC already has Thunderbird but I am worried that a backup and restore process on netscape may overwrite the 12,000 (different) emails on this new machine with old email from the old machine.
I just don't understand the process to create new profiles etc and not sure whether Thunderbiord could cope with the combined 20,000 new and old email on the one version of Thunderbird.
Just a list of .emls (stored externally from Thunderbird) would be fantastic so I can use Notepad to read. But when you select more than one email in Netscape the 'Save As' option is not available !
thanks in anticipation.

Install this add-on, and use it to import the mbox files from the old Netscape profile into Thunderbird. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/
