The new 157 release broke something when pasting a webpage into OneNote.

Previously when pasting, the complete URL was appended at the end of what was pasted: (web page text and images) Pasted from <https://earthsky.org/tonight/longest-days-of-year-accompany-the-december-solstice/?mc_cid=1422e68d3a>

In 157, only the top web address is pasted: (web page text and images) From <https://earthsky.org>

Having the entire URL to the actual pasted page saved a step. Now I have to copy the address out of the address bar and copy it to OneNote manually.

I use a note keeping app that saves copied snippets from the web with the source URL. I've noticed that Firefox has recently started stripping URLs - the SourceURL field now only contains the domain in the html format payload.

For instance if I copy a snippet from a wikipedia page in Firefox and view the HTML format information stored on the clipboard, I see:

Previously, the source url field would contain the full URL for the page, and if I try in Edge, it still copies the full URL for instance:

The text/x-moz-url-priv field also only contains the domain now instead of the full URL. Is there a setting or something to restore the previous behavior of storing the whole source URL to clipboard?

After a recent update - I can no longer copy a title from an article and get the full URL to paste in OneNote.

For example with this article - If copied it and pasted it in OneNote it would appear this way

I made no changes to OneNote and in settings there: Include link to source when pasting from the Web is checked.

This function is working in Chrome as usual. But no longer in Firefox.

What setting can I change?

When I tap a link, it opens in Firefox, but I want to be able to open the link with another application. I can't find how to change this setting on my Android phone. Please tell me how to choose another app for opening links.

Hi. I have noticed over the last few weeks, so maybe related to the 155.

If I am on a website with links the browser doesn't respond to many links, in fact no links most of the time.

This only happens usually after the first link has worked. There is no data in the status bar for the link.

If I close the link I have opened, always in a new tab, then other links will then work.

It is as it the details of the URL path are not being recognised, almost like something is saying : Hey you are already looking at this site don't be greedy and expect me to open multiple page with the same domain.

I did see a similar query a while ago but can't find it.

So not a critical problem.

Oh yes. When this happens I also cannot right-click to open in a new tab as an alternative.

Hope everyone is having at least a half decent day. :)

Seemingly any program that has links that when clicked there, redirect and open a new tab in your browser just, do nothing now that I've swapped to Firefox? No indication or response on Firefox, it just acts like nothing happened. I don't even know why something this simple would break, let alone what WOULD break it.

The recent changes to the right-click menu on YouTube are a backward step. The menu is now cluttered with options I don't use, while the useful “Open in New Window” option has disappeared. I regularly use this function and having to use Shift+click instead is unnecessarily inconvenient. Please consider restoring “Open in New Window” to the context menu. Not every new feature is an improvement, and sometimes the simple, familiar options are the ones users actually want.

when I get new tab I don't seem to be able to connect with web site I am asking for. In addition right click not dot get the menu of command. I just updated with 154.0

When I am in a web page and am asked to link to another URL using the standard link system, it never works. It is a black image framing choices of which browser I want to use and "Firefox" is usually highlighted. When I click on the link, nothing happens. I want to know how to make it work, because the actual URL is seldom if ever listed. I'll send an image to help (I hope).

If I click on a YouTube link in another app, say Bluesky or my RSS reader or something, and Safari is my default browser, as soon as it realizes I have a YouTube link it jumps to the YouTube app.

Firefox instead opens the YouTube link in a Firefox tab, and has an “Open in App?” banner along the top.

How can I skip that middle step? This is pretty annoying.

Mac Mini Pro M4, MacOs 26.6.1, Firefox 153.0.4 When I click on a "mailto" link I get a pop up that says select an app for mailto. In this popup, Firefox shows as the suggested app. I click on it and I get a message that says This Can Be Changed in Firefox Settings. When i select Firefox in this popup nothing happens. When I look at the mailto setting in Firefox it clearly says Firefox. Help. Thanks, Pete D.
