I have firefox 24.2 and it keeps locking up with a saffplg.js error. I am running windows 7 professional and McAfee.

Apparently that script is a part of McAfee Site Advisior. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say it's doing that when viewing pages with many links, like the result page of a search engine. Add-ons that check every link on every page often choke like that.

You can either disable the add-on, or you can refer to McAfee for support.
