The last 2 days Firefox has not been saving my open webpages
I checked my settings and it says I am set to reopen settings, but it is not doing it.
I do genealogy every day so I need my tabs to open...it lost the tabs I was going to work on the following day that I wanted to work on.
Also when I turned computer it wanted to make Firefox a default and it already is...It used to allow me to reload recent activity pages, but it did not after my Firefox crashed...it only listed about 10 pages,
I thought it may have crashed because I turned it off with 250 pages open, but it was very late and it would have taken me hours to look at all the open files
It took me a few hours to get some of the pages back, but I lost track of a lot of files I wanted to work on, but I lost track of many :-(
I am not a "techie" so I hope Mozilla support can get me back to being able to have Firefox save tabs again for me...I promise not to leave 250 files open again...that is the only thing I can think of that caused everything to crash

First check History > Recently Closed Windows and History > Restore Previous Session. If Restore Previous Session is greyed out, the old session may already have been overwritten by newer starts.
For the setting, use Settings > General > Startup and keep Open previous windows and tabs enabled. Also check Settings > Privacy & Security > History: if Firefox is set to clear history when it closes, or to always use private browsing, session restore will not behave as expected. With 250 tabs, I would also bookmark a group before shutting down: Select all tabs > Bookmark Tabs, so one crash does not become the only copy of your research list.

I have restored what tabs I could remember were open...all my tabs go to ancestry.com, so the info is safe
Last night I tried turning off computer without closing Firefox and all my current tabs were restored...so for now I'm good.
My hubby is the tech of the house, but he is not familiar with Firefox
It seems to me when it crashed, Firefox tried to create a new account when I tried a restore the next day...which may mean my old security things may not be in place...that is worrisome.
Thanks for your response, I will save it, but would really like to talk or message with a Firefox tech...do they have any online support? I thought that was what this site was, put apparently not.
I'm thinking I may actually have 2 accounts now, and I'm connected to the wrong one, but I can't be sure.
