My shortcuts no longer appear on my homepage. This just started happening. Shortcuts are still enabled in my settings. I refreshed Firefox. The shortcuts reappeared for a while, then disappeared again when I closed/reopened Firefox. I am on Windows 11 O/S

how do i recover all the tabs I had open? I do not have and have not had the option to "Restore previous session". I did go to recover tabs, but it was not all of them. Then I tried scrounger.html and that did not work.

Im experiencing crashes in and out of troubleshoot mode, often several in a row. The drivers on my device have no futher updates and Im unsure what to do. My Windows11 taskbar has an icon for firefox. If i left click on it (or just hovers) it shows thumbnail preview of the open windows. If to many it turns into a vertical list with the window names.

Lately (couple of months), when two or more firefox tabs or windows are open, I get a vertical list with those open windows but beneath it a complete list of empty entries (even more than there are processes in the task manager ...).

When I restart Windows it goes away for a while. But sometimes returns, I feel it is related to Windows updates as I have the feeling it started with a Windows update, went away with an update and is now back with an update. But that is just a feeling.

I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. Hello, My firefox, I have from top to bottom, Tabs bar, search bar, bookmarks My problem is that the tabs are very large. I don't know how I did this.. partially because I had to enlarge type.. I like tabs to show what I'm on and go back and forth sometimes but would like to get them smaller. is that possible? IE: my Home button shows up as a Tab, so I can't even x out of it without firefox closing. I always thought my home button was just beside my bookmarks.. Oh well.. if someone has any ideas, please let me know.. Thanks in advance, Linda

Previously when you click the ADD ON button a list of extension icons appeared but not if you click ADD ON button a theme tab pops up Now I can not use the extension I want to use eg for video download I could click the downloader icon and the video would start downloading. Now as the list is gone how do you use the down load ext if the icons are not listed. It is now a useless browser as I could not use the extension Even a simple eraser history icon is not there so I had to go to settings to clear data Very inconvenient Before you click the eraser button and history is cleared by 1 click Please restore ADD ON list button to make the browser more convenient as b4. After the recent update all the features are not visible

Been trying to retrieve misplaced bookmark folders not bookmarks themselves in the Bookmarks Library with no success even going down several sub-levels; Would be nice if there were a search function, but will take a step-by-step solution. Thanks!

when i click file, email link a pop up appears and says the file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. I have refreshed firefox this did not work and i have checked that the mailto is set as thunderbird.

Signed on to same mozilla account on old and new computers. Set each sync for bookmarks, passwords and such. Both computers are shown as signed on, but none of bookmarks appear in firefox on new computer.

When I type in a Google search in Firefox, a red dotted line (not the wavy red line from Firefox's spell check; spell check is disabled) appears. What exactly is this red dotted line? Can I show or hide it in settings? Can I change the setting in about:config? Please help. It's very annoying.

For the past few days hot links in Thunderbird do not open in Firefox. Selecting a link in an email opens or brings to the fore a copy of Firefox with the link address and the wait icon but nothing else happens. I have to close Firefox, copy the link location, Past and Go in Firefox, and then the linked page appears. This behavior happens even in Troubleshoot Mode, so it is not any plugin or customization. I am also running Mozilla VPN. With VPN disabled, hot links in Thunderbird open in Firefox as expected. Now you know where to look.

Also, when I tried to add Troubleshooting Information below, nothing appeared. When I selected to option to be shown what to do, this page was replaced with other which deleted all this text, and now I am entering it all in again, which is severely frustrating. On a page where the user has entered possibly a volume of information, there should not be any sloppy risk of deleting that information due to page mishandling. Open help or assistance information in a separate tab, please. Think ahead about this stuff. You are supposed to be web design experts. Instead your web site spits in my face just when I am asking for help. Think. Plus, I had to get the Troubleshoot information manually so that is not being as automatic as it appears to be , either. Getting help should ideally be a button click, not jumping through hoops.

Firefox 143.0.3 on Windows 11 24H2. I normally run my browser window full vertical height of the screen (but not maximized). If my PC goes into screen save due to lack of activity, each time I return and it comes out of screen save, the bottom of the Firefox window has risen vertically by about 15-20 pixels, and there is now a gap between the bottom of the FF window and the bottom of the screen. If I go in/out of screen save again, then the gap increases again as the windows shrinks further. The top of the FF window doesn't move, only the bottom.

This problem doesn't happen with the window size of any other app that I use if I size the window the full height of the screen and go in/out of screen save - eg the Thunderbird window remains the full height of the screen.

Any suggestions on a possible cause and how to fix the problem? It isn't just the latest version of FF that has the problem - it was also there with previous versions.

is there a way to prevent HTTP Basic Authentication dialog from stealing focus in about:config? It can be really annoying if a site logs me out randomly while working in another tab. Chromium browsers does not do that

unable to print. When I click on an AOL email to print, "preparing preview" appears. The email I'm trying to print usually just shows up and I click on number of copies, pages, etc. I need to print. Now, the preparing preview page does not load the email I'm trying to print, and then I get the "firefox has crashed" dialogue box appears.

I've been trying to get Firefox to save cookies for a few desired websites (bank, investment accounts website, Sync... and of course Firefox/Mozilla itself) so I don't have to constantly use the 2FAs for those accounts. Firefox refuses to keep me logged in to my Mozilla/Firefox account. Every few hours -- or at the very least, after a machine shut-down -- I have to re-login if I re-start Firefox.

I do not use the Firefox Password Manager; it's unchecked in Settings. Nor do I use the Autofill options in Settings. I use the Bitwarden Extension (set to Never for locking/logout -- because this is a home computer) for Firefox to log in to my sites, with a separate authenticator app, Authy.

The Firefox Privacy & Security Settings for tracking cookie blocking are the Standard ones; I haven't done anything to customize them. Further down on that page, I've tried leaving the box blank for clearing cookies on exit. I've tried checking the box and setting up exceptions for those few sites I'd like to login to without having to go through the 2FA rigamarole. I've done multiple Refreshes, clearing of History, uninstall/reinstalls including deletion of every Firefox profile and anything hinting at a connection to Mozilla or Firefox in all Users on the computer, including all the AppData folders. A few days ago, I even deleted the Mozilla/Firefox account and set up a new one with a different email address.

Nothing seems to work. Most recently, Firefox still had all the relevant cookies after the computer was shut down overnight, but an hour into my day's work, after closing Firefox and re-opening it a short while later, all the cookies are gone once again!

None of this was an issue about three months ago. I could save the desired cookies, get rid of other ones, use private browsing, etc. etc., with basically the same set-up and with the Mozilla/Firefox account I had had for years. Now, I've had to delete that account in an apparently vain effort to try to clear out anything "Mozilla" from this computer -- and it didn't work anyhow.

(I posted about this same issue a week or so ago, but didn't receive any responses and have now deleted that Mozilla/Firefox account -- see above -- so this message is an update.)

Long story here:

A few weeks ago, I lost internet connectivity on my desktop PC at work running Windows 11. I checked Firefox, Edge & Chrome but couldn't access any site. It took a few hours and a lot of updating Windows, rebooting each time the internet kicked out, but I got it to work again.

Fast forward to this past Monday the 29th when the issue happened again. Within roughly a minute, the internet just died on my desktop again. I grabbed my work laptop, also running Windows 11: same issue happened within 60 seconds. I checked Firefox on a desktop running Windows 10 - had no issues at all.

Today, I installed Firefox on another laptop (the same model at the other one) running Windows 11. As soon as it synced my account, the internet stopped working. I though it may be the Sync option, so I reinstalled Firefox on my laptop but did not log in to Sync - the same issue: dead internet within 30 seconds now.

I have:

• Run anti-virus
• Run network diagnostics and reset
• Rebooted a multitude of times
• Uninstalled, reinstalled at least twice
• Run troubleshooting in Firefox (which I cannot attach the logs due to it being uninstalled right now)
• Checked to make sure my modem/routers are working right (no one else in the building has this issue and we all use Firefox, but none are synced to my account)
• I even asked my company's tech team (who are mostly software developers) and they said No, sorry, we don't help with that (wonderful right?)

I've attached a screenshot of the OG machine's information. Not sure if it will help at all, but it's worth a shot.
