It appears you are using a old Ubuntu package build of Firefox 88.0

Judging by this version I would not be surprised if your version of Ubuntu or flavour of Linux distro is EOL in package updates. Check for Firefox updates in your updages package manager. If no updates then you can either update your Linux distro to a new version or use the Linux Firefox tarballs from Mozilla.

The tarball is just an archive as there is no package, setup or installer. Just run the firefox script or firefox-bin to start Firefox is the basics. You can create a launcher shortcut and there are Firefox icons you can use in the firefox folder. Just make sure where you put the Firefox folder has read/write permissions for the user to get internal Firefox updates from Mozilla.
