Why different headers in the bookmark meny?
I'm unfortunately an unskilled retired computeruser and I have difficulties to understand why there are different headers in the bookmark menu. When the bookmarks are shown to the right of the screen it isn't the same bookmarks shown as when shown on the left side. What is your definition of the Swedish "Bokmärkesfältet" and "Bokmärkesmenyn". When I'm clkicking to bookmark a site I never know where it goes. Please, explain very thorough as I'm not very familiiar as I'm not a good friend to my computer. Regards Johnny Mansson SWEDEN

I will move this over to the Firefox forum. Thunderbird does not really do bookmarks.
Make sure you have the Bookmarks Toolbar visible.
Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.
- Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
- "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
- View -> Toolbars
*you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
You can add the "Bookmarks Menu" button that shows the bookmarks in a drop-down list to the Navigation Toolbar via these steps:
- click the bookshelf
icon on the Navigation Toolbar or alternatively use the Library menu in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button
drop-down list
- click Bookmarks
- click "Bookmarking Tools", then click "Add Bookmarks Menu to Toolbar"

You can also drag the Bookmarks Menu button from the Customize palette to the Navigation Toolbar
See also "How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?":
Firefox has three different collections/containers for bookmarks:
- Menu ("Bokmärkesmenyn")
- Toolbar ("Bokmärkesfältet")
- "Other" ("Osorterade bokmärken") -- when you add a new bookmark, if you do not specify a location, it ends up here
You can view these in different ways:
- Bookmarks Menu ("Bokmärkesmenyn")
- On the top bar (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help)
- Using the toolbar button
- In the Bookmarks Sidebar ("Sidofält") (Ctrl+b)
- Bookmarks Toolbar ("Bokmärkesfältet")
- An extra toolbar below the main toolbar *
- A Bookmarks Toolbar folder on the Bookmarks Menu
- In the Bookmarks Sidebar ("Sidofält") (Ctrl+b)
- Other Bookmarks ("Osorterade bokmärken")
- An Other Bookmarks folder on the Bookmarks Menu
- In the Bookmarks Sidebar ("Sidofält") (Ctrl+b)
I hope I found the correct translations!
* To show or hide a toolbar, you can access the toolbar list in any of these ways:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or on the "+" button)
- (menu bar) View > Toolbars
On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily. - in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bar, click it on the list.
