Get message when try to download: 1st msg: from (free.mapsgalaxy.com) http://ak.imgfarm.com/images/nocache/vicinio/installers/202980021.S09175.1/235595-140317101706-S09175.1/39ffxtbr-rsl@MapsGalaxy_39.com.xpi

Firefox prevents the download. I click allow.

Then, 2nd msg: Firefox cannot download this file because Firefox cannot modify the needed file.

Why can it not do this, when the website states that this free download is compatible with Firefox?

Please provide a workable solution.

Thanks!

Chosen solution

Hello Annie6556, any luck if you set extensions.alwaysUnpack to TRUE ?

To do that :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
  3. type (or copy - paste) extensions.alwaysUnpack in the search field
  4. double-click on it to make it TRUE.
  5. exit firefox and restart it.

thank you
