Why is Jiniator no longer supported

It's sad that Firefox has killed the ability to use the Oracle jinitiator plugin while IE still allows it. They are cutting themselves out of a lot of shops due to this change. They should at least give users the ability to enable the plugin knowing the risks.

Is it possible this could be allowed in a future release?

I think Oracle is trying to phase out JInitiator. Does your content not run in the regular Java plugin, or does corporate policy prohibit use of Java?

This 2007 article might help: Replacing JInitiator with Sun Java Plug-in 1.5.0_13 (Oracle E-Business Suite Technology).
