I have used FF for the last 8 yrs with no problems.

However for the past couple of days, Firefox crashes as soon as I try and load up. I have tried in safe mode, but it still crashes.

Hey waveneygnome,

There is a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. I know you said you already tried Safe Mode. Have you tried creating a new profile? That can help as well.

Your issue is caused by the Trusteer Rapport extension (RapportTanzan9.DLL)

You can try to stop Trusteer Rapport if installing the latest version doesn't help.

Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport
