I used to be able to open MAFF files but once I updated, they no longer work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It says the Add On Compatibility Reporter no longer works and I think this might be the problem. When I click to open my MAFF file, it asks would i like to open it with Firefox, I click open and then another tab opens asking me the same question. What is wrong?
