I can't read information in drop down menus, navigation bar, location bar, etc., because the printing is so tiny. What can I do to change this?

The print size in the navigation bar and in drop down menus from, say, Tools - Options, is much too small to read unless I bring my face very close to the screen or use a magnifying glass. Why is this? I can't find a way to enlarge the size of the print in these frames. Content on-line and in Google is just fine, but not this feature.
