I use Comcast, XP, Firefox, Yahoo email. When I initially click on Firefox on my Start page, it takes a very long time to open. After opening, everything runs fast.

Go to Help | Check For Updates and upgrade to Firefox 4.0 which is 6x times faster than the version you have installed.
