web page font color is purple how do I make it black?

When I type an email, no matter what color I specify the font, as well as any web page's writing is purple and unreadable. HOw do I change it back to the default black?

Check the color settings:

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
