Firefox locks up when I try and delete history

When you try to clear history and you have a significantly large history file to clear, it may take a few moments to delete.

That's not the problem. I delete daily and sometimes have very little history. Computer locks up as soon as I hit delete. Have waited several minutes, stays locked. Have to go to task manager to shutdown Firefox

If you've exhausted all the steps mentioned there (integrity, database, profile) it's probably a bug worth filing: bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html

(or you can follow the other discussions in case someone else collects any useful data and reports the bug themselves…)
