Limit of Sub-Folders?

New Computer and new installation of thunderbird just happened. But now I cannot create more than two subfolder. each trial ended up in subfolder disappearing in Nirwana. Is there a limitation now or didn´t I follow any new rule? Please help if possible. Thank you, Monika
