I have been getting in yellow message banner at bottom of my emails the message a uniqueidentitymatching the from addresswas not found. Have looked for advice on line how to remove this ) flag folder add on in firefox?0 but am computer illiterate. can you help regards Peter hendry

Would you please post a screenshot of that? If it's the message I think it is, it appears when clicking to 'edit a new' a message you didn't originally send.
Hi Peter. I see that message when I have an alias set in webmail that I have not set up in Thunderbird. Someone sends a message to me at the alias. When I reply, Thunderbird tells me that there is a problem because the corresponding "from" address is not set up as an identity.
Is that what is happening with you? If it is, go into account settings > name of account > manage identities and add the alias.
