Attempting to creat a QR code to set up thunderbird on mobile phone. I am ask to provide a PIN that I have no record of. The change PIN instructions "go to Settings > Sign-in options." I can-not find any such place. How can I locate or chang that KEY.

I am guessing. I do not touch the mobile app and the support documents provided by the developers are scarce on details. I assume you have read them.

Perhaps go to the Windows taskbar search and type in accounts and reset your pin.

This is a windows setting, not a Thunderbird thing at all, but it is used by Thunderbird to stop malicious access to sensitive data.
