Been a LONG TIME user of Thunderbird (over 15 years) updated recently and now my Thunderbird e-mail server will not download e-mails off my Network Solutions acct. My I-Phone has no problem and the setting as the same (I doubled checked the settings) POP acct. same server settings . . same password . . etc.

Please get back to me as to how to fix this . . I'm in IT and I simply can't figure out why it just stopped work (ALL THE ACCTS on the mail server stopped downloading) it is not the internet connection . . I'm writing you through the same laptop / computer / using a browser.

Thank you !

Tony Caio

A couple of things to check as nothing is working.

In Firewall, is Thunderbird set up as an allowed program ? If no then add it as an allowed program.

Have you recently enabled a VPN ? Some people have updated or installed Anti-Virus and it auto enabled a VPN. Many servers do not like VPN as they think you may be a hacker, so they block access. Either switch it off or create a split tunnelling and set up Thunderbird to use it.

I believe thunderbird is a client, not a server. I'd guess your server is Network Solution? What o/s you using?
