Hi, I've been having problems with Firefox and Thunderbird. Reinstalling Firefox cured that problem ( lost all my history and tabs ) but Thunderbird now won't open any hyperlinks in emails in any of my accounts. I can't even get Thunderbird Help to open as all I get is a dialog box pops up saying " This link needs to be opened with an application ". To finalise my reinstall of Firefox I had to open Gmail in my browser to clck the confirmation link that way. I've checked all my settings on my other laptop and they're all identical. I've tried following the steps in the knowledge base but none of them work. I'll attach a screen snip of the dialog box and just hope someone can help me out here. PS. it's running on Windows 7 Home Premium. Thanks

Do you have a default browser set in Windows? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser

Hi Matt, Thanks for your prompt reply. As I said in my question, I'd reinstalled both Firefox and Thunderbird. I did check to see if Firefox was still my default browser and it was. I couldn't see the box to make it the default browser though, so after seeing your reply I thought I'd make Chrome the default ( I hate using Chrome ) and then switch it back to see if it would work. I tried it out on your reply and...Yay, it worked! I'm now a happy bunny again. Thanks again Matt
