Install a new firefox locale
Hi!
I am very excited about the new Canadian locale for the latest version of Firefox. However, I have been using Firefox for years using the US locale. So my question is what would happen if I try to download and install the latest version of Canadian locale Firefox on top of my existing US locale Firefox on my mac? Will it wipe out all of my settings, history, bookmarks, add-ons, and everything, etc? If so, could you please suggest a way to use the Canadian locale without losing all of my current data?
Thanks!

Yes you can download it safely, I have after using British for years. Once installed go to Options --. General --. Languages and click on CA and move it up above US or what ever you were using before

Your settings are in a separate Profile and not in the Firefox program folder.

Yes it took Mozilla almost fourteen years to have the Canadian locale for Release as Firefox 1.0 Released on Nov 9, 2004 was the first Release to have other locales official and not contrib builds.
So does that mean I can safely download and install the Canadian locale version of Firefox on my macOS and it would overwrite my US locale installation without losing any of my existing profile data?
Just want to make sure, thanks!
