I used to be able to bookmark pages on Firefox operating on my Microsoft Tablet operating Windows 10, but it has stopped me doing so now. I am not a "techie" so need an easy fix.

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Tried that twice before but to no avail. I am trying to find out how to uninstall the latest Firefox and install an earlier version, but as a non-techie to looks very tricky. I think should just use Opera instead. Why do these software people screw us up?

This is the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's(WIN10)) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Install 52.6.0 ESR. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page :

Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
