Why do I get a RED X instead of photos in E mails?

When I receive E mails with a combination of what should be photos and words, the photos do not appear, but in their place there is a RED X. I have to double click on the RED X and am sent to a website on Mozilla FireFox and they open. Before I installed Mozilla FireFox, these photos appeared inside the message. How can I get that feature back?

Thanks, James W. Hart, Jr.

Stab in the dark, but would you check this :
Images may also not be shown when you have adjusted your security settings for Internet Option in Windows and enabled the option: 'Do not save encrypted pages to disk'.

You can enable this option in the following way; Control Panel => Internet Options => tab Advanced - disable: 'Do not save encrypted pages to disk'.
