Correct yahoo password is not recognized by thunderbird (can read email on yahoo.com - new password recognized)

I cannot log to my yahoo account email adress via Thunderbird. Password is correct as I can connect via Yahoo.com. Error message on thunderbird is " Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded: (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password". I have been using thunderbird for years with that email adress.

have you enabled the less secure apps setting on yahoo. it is new and required. You can thank Yahoo later
