I stupidly "plugged in" a search engine from Merriam Webster Dictionary into the Google screen in Firefox. HELP.
I have stupidly "plugged in" Merriam Webster Dictionary into the Google screen in Firefox, because I was setting up Google via my mobile (Galaxy A5 using Android) & was distracted by a pop up advert (the old old story ...). The Merriam Webster Dictionary search engine now does not allow me to access the Google search page at all.
I cannot find the MWD software in my programs list (accessed via the Windows 7 Start button) so there is no obvious way of uninstalling it.
My apologies in advance. I am aged 69 & my theoretical knowledge of IT is almost zero so please keep your answers simple. Thanks.

Make sure that Google is selected as the default search engine in case you have changed the default to Merriam Webster Dictionary.

Thanks for your answers cor-el & phillip but I am very tired & my brain is tired. But tomorrow I will learn how to take a Screenshot of the page with the problem & a Screenshot of the Dialogue Box.
Apologies for sending a 2nd query which ought to be the follow-up to the first query.
Fortunately the Google search engine is working OK in Firefox on my mobile.
I am logging off & will follow-up tomorrow.

Thank you, co-rel. Yes, I had accidentally changed the default search engine to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.
