Why does firefox redirect me to Google.pt every time I try to open Google.com? It is annoying!!!

Every time I search for something, firefox uses google.pt and I cannot change it to google.com. When I write directly google.pt in the address bar and press enter, firefox changes it to google.pt. It is annoying.

It is also very annoying and time consuming to have to navigate through three or four pages to report this bug, after searching the Internet for possible solutions. I think I'll change to chrome.

It is not Firefox but Google doing the redirect.
