If I want to set up our account for mass mailing, what are the limits for:
Number of addresses I can send to at one time and Number of emails I can send per day?

Ask your email provider. They set limits like this.
What the...? Mozilla Thunderbird is my e-mail provider. So what kind of answer is that? Am I talking to a person or a machine?
You are talking to a person that knows the difference between email client software, IE: Thunderbird, and an email provider, IE gmail, Yahoo etc.
