Drop-Downs Not Working

jbr beäntwurde
j_r_stuff

I'm on 153.0.4 (64-bit) and after the last update, drop-down arrows are non-functional. I use Firefox at work and the dashboards that I've been using can't be used because I can't make selections. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge (yuk).

Is there something I can do to restore the drop-down behavior?

Thanks, JR

I assume this is a private system so it can't be reproduced on our side easily?

Is it on "any" site, or this is specific to the platform you use for work? If you open e.g. developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTML/Reference/Elements/select that has a simple demo in the white box there — do these drop down with content correctly? (there's a list of animals or something alike…)

If you go to Help › More troubleshooting information, and look for "Show Update History" button, can you list the version numbers and dates of your last few updates, to help inform which version range might have been the culprit?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's a private system. When I go to the link you provided, the drop-down of animals works fine. When I tried the "Show Update History" it opens a small window that says "No updates installed yet.", which is odd because I've been using Firefox at work for 12 years and always install the latest updates. The dashboards that I use here at work have been functioning just fine since they were implemented about four years ago. It's just been the last month or so that the drop-downs no longer work.

  1. How can we reproduce this issue?
  2. Anything related in a browser console?

OK so that might be unrelated to the actual component, but might be connected to either the way it loads the data, or presents them etc. — could you first try if the separate Firefox Nightly nightly.mozilla.org behaves the same, or that differs from your current release?
