Ed, there might have been some changes between updates — if you (re)start the browser now, do you see them again? (You should also be able to click the pencil icon in the corner to customize your new tab, and select the widgets from there.)

Thanks for trying to help me, but a restart did not help and I can't even FIND the "pencil icon in the corner"??
