How do I delete unsent messages without sending them at all?

I created a message, and selected File>Send Later. Then I changed my mind and decided not to send it at all. But it's not in my Unsent Message folder, nor is it in Drafts or Templates. Yet the option is there to Send Unsent Messages.

How do I simply delete the thing without sending it? I don't want it to get sent accidentally.

Thanks.............

The outbox is a default Thunderbird folder. I would be surprised if you did not have one. Did you look under Local Folders?

The Unsent folder sounds like a server folder in an IMAP account.

Messages that are pending to be sent are in the Outbox. The Outbox is under the Local Folders.

I do not have an "Outbox" at all, and there is NOTHING in the "Unsent Messages" folder.

It took some diligent searching, but I finally found it by scrolling waaaaaaay down to the end of all my personal email folders. It was so far down I have never seen it before.

Thanks very much.
