Attached are screenshots of the "new" (v102) TB address book edit screen, and the "old" one.

I am very unhappy with the new edit screen, for several reasons. The old edit dialog was able to display twelve fields in about half the screen real estate that the new version requires to display only five fields. In the new screen, the top 25% displays the name, nickname, and email fields, which is just redundant information from the edit fields beneath it. (Personally, I never use the photograph field, so that's completely wasted space for me.) Lastly, in the old edit dialog, the tabs required only a single click to access other fields. The new screen requires me to scroll some arbitrary distance as I have to monitor what is passing by for the desired field. Scrolling is a much less precise and far more time-consuming operation.

My guess is that the new format is tailored for mobile users where scrolling is pretty much the only option. As a desktop user it is very frustrating to see the user interface degraded in order to support mobile users. I suppose the TB team is committed to this change so I'm not likely to get the old dialog back. But is there a way to customize the display in the new edit screen? Perhaps by modifying the css or javascript to eliminate the header and remove extraneous whitespace?

In Thunderbird > Preferences > Reading & Display I have the checkbox for "Automatically mark messages as read" UNCHECKED. To clarify, when I click an unread message in Thunderbird I DO NOT want it to marked as read. Unchecking the checkbox did the trick for years. Since the last Thunderbird update this is no longer working. It doesn't happen every time but if I leave the software alone for an amount of time, when I come back and start clicking on emails to preview them Thunderbird is marking them as read.

Hello,

our company wants to use a better Signature, but every time I send an E-Mail with our new Signature out, the Signature changes. For example, when I send an E-Mail to my Gmail Account.

Attached I send you a screenshot from Thunderbird, how it is intended to look and a screenshot from Gmail, how it does look. I used the Webconsole to check the HTML & CSS Code of the signature in Gmail and can see, that several CSS codes are missing.

To make sure, it's not because of the original code, I added the signature directly to the webmailer of our host and to Outlook and there, the Signature arrives correctly.

Here is the Code I used: https://codefile.io/f/7BzCAjRow1cfGnxDKYMZ

Is there a way to make sure, that the Signature arrives correctly?

Hello,

Email from a site where I'm a registered user is being sent to Junk folder. I have right clicked them and marked them as Not Junk. They are returned to the Inbox, and then within 3 seconds they are sent to Junk again. Even if I send a copy to Inbox, it gets sent into Junk. I have also added the sender addresses to my address book. Nothing works.

Thanks for your attention!

Isaiah

I have 1 computer and 1 remote computer. On my main computer the ImportExpotTools NG works fine but I need to install it on a remote computer for others to use.

On the remote computer, I installed Thunderbird today. 102.2.2 (64-bit) I could not get the add addons to work in thunderbird so I googled the tool instead and imported it via a file instead. It shows up in Add-ons but will not show up when I'm on the folders. Version 12.0.1 : Maintenance Release - July 8, 2022.

My main computer is still on 91.13.0 so I think that's why the tool works. I may have to wait for an update on the tool.

Has clearly been a long-standing issue, first reported in 2008 [on Stack Overflow](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/182615/why-does-my-rss-feed-duplicate-some-entries) (see [this answer](https://stackoverflow.com/a/48707313) for more information). Based on my experience some feeds have been affected as long as I've used Thunderbird, for instance [this custom RSS feed-creator for Reddit](https://github.com/johnwarne/reddit-top-rss) frequently pulls duplicate entries.

Is there any built-capability to remove (and mark as read, if needed) these "copies", for instance by matching any messages with an identical body? An addon is also an acceptable method, if there's one compatible with Thunderbird >100.

I've set practically all of my feeds to update *once* a day — sadly Thunderbird appears to save a feed's time of creation and polls accordingly, in my case seemingly exactly when the feed was created (once a day = 24 hours.

In other words, is it possible to globally set an equal polling time for all RSS feeds (preferably at around 6 AM — before work)? Note that I don't per-se need a daily refresh, only a uniform time of the day for updates (for some of my needs, anything more frequent than once a month is a total bandwidth waste).

Using a script (Linux, Bash) for batch-editing config files is fine, if you can point me to the right location.
