a recent update has resulted in the previous fault reoccuring "not responding" appearing frequently (win7)

Since updated latest version has been installed, the previous thunderbird fault has come back caption reads "thunderbird is not responding" Also there has been three occasions very recently where emails have come in and soon afterwards have disappeared.
