How do I export a subdirectory of my address book without exporting the entire address book?

I use sub-directories (contact groups) in my address book for different groups of contacts. I need to move one group to another email client but when using the export function, there does not seem to be any way to select just one group. The export function exports the entire address group without regard to my sub groupings. Is there any way around this?

Yes, selecting addresses before clicking tools seems to do the trick

I was able to select the Mailing List in the Directory Pane and then select Tools-Export. I kept the default file type of LDIF and sent it to my Desktop. When I used Tools-Import and selected the file on the Desktop it imported it as a new Address Book. I do not see a way to import it to an existing address book as a list.

One requirement of a mailing list is that the contacts on the list have to exist in the address book the list is created in.

It sounds like you have the address book folder selected and not the mailing list folder when you do the export.

Thank you for the quick response. Right after I posted my question I tried something I had already tried without success thinking that maybe I hadn't been thorough enough. I selected all the addresses within the list I wanted to export by using my shift key rather than the "select all" feature. I then used the export tool and saved it as a csv file. It worked exactly as needed.
