windows snipping tool problem

I've used Win 7/Vista's snipping tool for ages without any issues until this past month or two, when suddenly I find I can no longer use it within Firefox (v 25) for anything. As soon as I open it up (regardless of settings) it turns the screen black and so I can't see the portion I want to snip. I've tried changing various settings within it, and also within Firefox but nothing's worked. I switched off things like Adblock & Ghostery and tried it even without many of my usual add-ons running all to no avail.

This seemed to only start with the last Firefox update possibly but as I don't use the tool that often I'm not too sure of the exact timing.

I should point out the snipping tool works fine elsewhere within Windows - it's purely in Firefox I run into this issue :(

Anyone else discovered this issue or have any suggestions on how I might fix it. A search on Google hasn't provided much help thus far, so hoping someone here can. Thanks

Sorry - couldn't find a way to delete the above, but I've found the answer & it's actually nothing to do with Firefox. Seems to be related to another program I installed a while back & totally forgot about - Trusteer Rapport - it's a program that protects the browser from keylogging/hacks etc with respect primarily to your online banking.

SO have contacted them to see if there's a fix to return things to "normal" :).
