Firefox saves jpeg images with .jpeg extension instead of .jpg

Whenever I save JPEG images, especially when I'm archiving large amounts of pictures, Firefox often saves it with .jpeg extension instead of .jpg extension.

This can lead to having two copies of same image but with different extensions of .jpg and .jpeg
