Firefox has to many advertisements about an update after an update
As a public librarian, when I do a monthly update for the public computers I also update Firefox. Every time I do a Firefox update, I have to at minimum open Firefox twice, once to get the "here's a bunch of advertising for a thing you already use!" Out of the way, and then at least another time so I can make sure there isn't another ad page, so I can clear the history. Doing this every time I update Firefox is just a small pain point, but I don't enjoy having to do it a dozen times when I update our computers each month, and this month I had to do it three times because of the number of advertisements.

Are you familiar with using Policies to pre-configure and control Firefox features?
I suspect the most relevant policy to address your immediate issue would the one that relates to "User Messaging". As you review the options, you may discover that others would be helpful. Here are some resources:
- Customize Firefox using Group Policy (Windows)
- Customize Firefox using policies.json
Note: I haven't tested any User Messaging policies myself.
