Using Print to make a PDF file, it goes to wrong directory

When I use File > Print (or CMD-P) to make a pdf file of the current Firefox tab, the pdf file saves to a directory deep in the OS instead of the directory I specify and does not have the file name i specified. It used to work ok. Ideas to fix this?

I have Firefox ver 159.0 and MacOS 15.8.1
