Firefox memory usage

Rauchbier

Immediately after restart and subsequently starting Firefox 153.0.3 my Windows 11, 16GB system shows that Firefox has started 11 processes, five of which account for most of the 1.2GB of RAM used. Why does Firefox run so many processes, and how can I make it use less RAM?

You'll get separate client, content, graphics, networking, addons processes… you can check them in Task Manager - see whether tabs or extensions are slowing down Firefox
