Select an email title and content of the message is from a different email
When I first switched from v91 to v102, I had a few issues where I would open an email and the email subject name and the email content was from a different email message than the correspondent name it said it was from. I also had a couple of messages that when opened were blank. All email messages mentioned were just fine on my Android cell phone email client so I know the original messages had integrity. I deleted the messages in question and this issue appeared to go away.
This was about 2 weeks ago. Today one issue has returned. I have an email in my inbox that arrived on July 14. I read it on that date and it was fine. Today I opened this email again to grab a phone number in the message body text and the subject name and the message content is from a different email message that I deleted a few days ago? I was able to forward this message from my cell phone to my pc that is running tbird v102 and the forwarded message opens in Tbird with the correct subject name and text in the body.
I don't know exactly what is happening but it appears that occasionally a message with the correct correspondent name somehow inherits the subject name and body text from a completely different massage?
For the most part, just about all email messages are arriving in my inbox with no problems and all text or HTML content seems to be just fine. The messages with a problem appear to be completely random.
For your information, all my mail folders (many) seem fine and the calendar that I have linked to my Gmail calendar continues to operate well and syncs just fine. The address book is also good.
Chosen solution
Hi David,
OK, so this appears to happen in my inbox folder that I generally keep very clean - maybe 3 or 4 messages in there. Anyway, I right clicked on the inbox, went to properties and pressed the repair folder button. After doing this, the original message subject name and text is now showing in that message that was an issue.
Thanks so much for this suggestion, I will definitely try this again should I run into any more problems.

This generally happens when the folder's index becomes corrupted. Usually, right-clicking and selecting 'repair' fixes the issue.
