Copy paste attachments from windows file explorer

I installed Thunderbird on a windows portable because I cannot make the emails work on microsoft outlook. She just contact me to ask me why she can't copy paste files to add attachments to the emails she composes on thunderbird as she previously did it on microsoft outlook.

There is a way to do activate this feature on Thunderbird?

I am guessing this addon is the answer to the need. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/attach-from-clipboard/
