when I open an inbox message, either by double clicking or single clicking, the message opens but there's nothing in the message body.

Is this a POP account? If so it's possible that you have Thunderbird set to 'fetch headers only'. Check in your Account Settings > Server Settings.
yes it is pop, but the fetch headers only box is unticked.
Right click the folder and select Properties. Then Repair Folder.
I have tried that aswell
Just upgraded to Ver 45. Now I have this same problem. I click on a message. It shows Loading. But nothing loads.
I use Google IMAP Server. So the above solution doesn't do anything for me. Need some asap. Thanks.
